Spalding Flower Parade

The 1977 Spalding Flower parade was extra special as the theme was 'A celebration of the Queen's Silver Jubilee'

Judy Beba was elected as Miss Tulipland for this 19th annual parade and her deputy was Jane Walker.

The weather was cool with odd showers. The parade was delayed due to large crowds being in the way of some of the larger floats.

Spalding & District Society for mentally handicapped children entered a trailer made by Garth School pupils

Flowers for a Royal occasion entered by the Flowers Publicity Council


Miss Tulipland on a float by Sough Holland Council

The keys to comfort entered by C.I.S of Leicester

The English lion entered by Midland Bank

Mosaics entered by the Gleed Girls School

The Romsey Old Cadets

Marching Concert Band of Braintree

Royal British Legion Band
