Spalding Flower Parade
1962

The 1962 Spalding Flower Parade theme was 'Melody in Flowers'

For the first time, the floats were on display on the Sir Halley Stewart field all day Saturday and Sunday. At night they were floodlit.

It rained on the Saturday morning

The parade consisted of:

  2. Grenadier Guards Band

  3. Queen's Float

  4. Spalding Cycling Club

  5. Margarets

  6. Tulips from Amsterdam entered by Stassens Ltd

  7. Round the World entered by Machins Transport
