The Spalding Flower Parade Committee regret to announce that the 2026 Spalding Flower Parade, scheduled to take place on 9–10 May 2026, will not go ahead and will instead be deferred to 8–9 May 2027.
This decision has not been taken lightly. Following a thorough and honest review of the Parade’s financial position at a recent committee meeting, it became clear that it would not be financially viable to raise the full £90,000 required to meet the essential costs necessary to deliver a safe, high-quality parade in 2026.
Over the next 16 months, the Committee will focus on fundraising, planning, and strengthening resources to ensure the successful return of the Spalding Flower Parade in May 2027. We are pleased to confirm that the Parade theme for 2027 will remain “Countries of the World.” During this period, we will need the continued support of the town and community to help us achieve this goal.
We will be contacting all float participants, vendors, and craft stall holders directly to update them on the situation and advise on next steps.
Fundraising will continue throughout this time. Our regular bingo and quiz nights will still take place, and our fundraising stall will continue to attend local events. Details of all activities will be shared via our official Facebook page: www.facebook.com/SpaldingFlowerParadeOfficial
In addition, we have launched a GoFundMe fundraising campaign to support the future of the Parade. Donations of any size will make a meaningful difference and help us work towards delivering the Parade in 2027. The campaign can be found here: gofund.me/b35dde7e2
A major fundraising event planned for August is currently being organised, with further details to be announced soon. We will also be electing a new Parade Queen and Deputy on 7 March 2026. Full details of the election will be published on our Facebook page. The successful candidates will serve throughout 2026 and 2027, attending fundraising events and supporting preparations for the 2027 Parade.
As part of our forward planning, we are also seeking a volunteer to join the Committee in a marketing role, helping to promote fundraising activities and raise the profile of the Parade.
The Spalding Flower Parade remains very much alive, and the Committee is fully committed to delivering a vibrant and successful event for the community in 2027.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone for their continued support, understanding, and encouragement. For enquiries or to get involved, please contact: secretary@spaldingflowerparade.org.uk

Digitizing my grandparents' photo albums and every scan of the printed shots came out with that dot-pattern grit. Used to wrestle with VueScan's descreen filter — ten minutes a photo. This print moire fix does it in seconds and skin tones still look natural.
Threw a small baby shower for my sister and used the baby shower bingo cards during the gift-opening part so the older relatives had something to do.
Printed 4-to-a-page to save ink, still looked perfectly clean.
